Okiki Podcast 24: Jacqueline Conway- Leading in Fashion & Entrepreneurship while Empowering a Community

Okiki Podcast Episode 24 Article Picture.png

When I first met Jacqueline, it was at a marketing event called FUZE. I spotted her and Mandy, and I was a huge fan of their work with the Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival, the only festival of its kind in our city. At the time, there wasn’t a spot to fill out for volunteers at the site, so I went up to them and volunteered myself. Not only did they add me to the team, I got to be a member of the board for two years following that first event.

When I launched Okiki Consulting, I was looking for some internship opportunities, and this was when Jacqueline barely knew me and worked with the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival. Even then, she was willing to meet up with me for coffee on her lunch break and even give me some early career advice. It is so exciting for me to share this episode with you from someone I truly respect as a leader in fashion and entrepreneurship in my community.
