How to Launch Your Very Own Podcast: Tips and Tricks Part 2

In this part, I discuss how to create theme music for your podcast cast.

You can go about this a couple of ways. You can either use royalty-free music, where I discuss in more detail in a previous article MY TOP 4 FREE RESOURCES FOR CREATING CONTENT.

You can hire someone to create your theme song for you, through companies like Fiverr and UpWork.

If you have even a little musical talent, you can also create the theme song yourself.

This option was my method of choice.

To do this all you need is a MIDI Chord ($10 on Amazon), a keyboard and music software.

MIDI Chord:

I used Garage Band, but if you use a PC, you can use other programs such as Audacity.

So how do I find guests?

I didn't have to look very far. My favourite places to get guests for my shows are LinkedIn and Instagram.

Why?

I love to use those platforms because it is super easy to find talented business owners, entrepreneurs, artists etc.

Since LinkedIn is a business platform, people are very upfront on there about their business endeavours, projects and they usually give you links to their page so you can see what they are up to as individuals. From there, I connect with them and send them a message about my show, and we set a time for an interview.

Similarly, on Instagram, you can visually see images and videos that show the passionate endeavours of individuals. If you find someone who inspires you all you have to do is follow up and send them an Instagram message.
